Welcome
Goal
This is the catalogue of demonstrators that the Flanders Chips Competence Center (FC3) offers to help industry in assessing what it takes to design integrated or photonic circuits, or to integrate chips in a system. This effort is focused on the European industry in general and the Flemish industry in particular. Our goal is to showcase the technical challenges related to these demonstrators and also - if possible - to provide a small business analysis.
FC3 is co-founded by the European Union. The project is supported by the CHIPS JU and its members (including top-up funding by VLAIO).

What demonstrators exist?
The catalogue is work in progress. We will be providing demonstrators in three categories:
- Integrated circuits
- Photonic circuits
- System integration

Currently, we've finished one demonstrator in the category System integration. However, we will add more later.
Who contributed?
These demonstrators have been built
- by the FC3 consortium partners,
- by the local industry,
- or by a combination of both.
Every demonstrator clearly lists the parties that contributed to it.
Browsing and structure
You can browse through the demonstrators using the navigation menu on the left. We structured them in layers, such that when only reading the top layer (the overview), you get a coarse overview of what the demonstrator is about and what the embedded challenges are. If you are triggered by this top layer, you're free to dig deeper.
Comments?
We encourage you to give comments on the demonstrators. If certain aspects are missing and it is within our reach to add them, we certainly will. If you spotted errors or inconsistencies, your contribution in signaling them will be greatly valued, not only by the FC3 consortium, but by every visitor that makes use of our demonstrator catalogue.
We are welcoming your input via info@fc3.be.
Want to contribute?
Are you as a company or individual interested to contribute a demonstrator? Please, contact us. We will at least consider working with you to make this happen. Note that demonstrators are intended to reveal some of the complexity of the design and the related economics making it a good business. We will not adopt pure marketing-focused demonstrators.
